Cadena de las Américas was a special broadcast presentation in 1992 by the Televisa network and other Latin American television networks, in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the arrival of Christopher Columbus in America. It lasted a total of 176 days, between April 20 and October 12, 1992. Nineteen Spanish-speaking countries participated in the project.
