LW 81 TV Canal 7 is an open television channel belonging to Grupo Ick and Grupo Durgam. It was founded on May 18, 1962 and began broadcasting on October 30, 1965.

In 1965 was launched LW 81 TV Canal 7, Telesiete Santiago. Above the text it shows the "pichi" or "quirquincho", as the channel's current mascot and characteristic animal of the province.

In 1980 was re-named as Canal 7. The logo is the initials C7 and the horizontal stripes of 6 colors (in reverse order) are: blue, light blue, green, yellow, orange, red. In the center of the acronym shows the head of the "pichi".

The acronym C7 is modified, the letter "C" has 5 separate pieces of colors: blue, light blue, green, yellow and red. The number "7" has 2 separate pieces of green.
