2004–2011[]
Canal Educativo 2 (also abbreviated as CE2; stylized as ce2) was lauched on 18 April 2004 as a complement to the already existing Canal Educativo network. It would later switch its focus into generalist programs.
2011–present[]
Since 2020, the channel no longer broadcasts its own programming; instead, CE2's frequencies are currently used to re-broadcast the Telesur news network 24/7 (CE2 already had given some exposure to Telesur for most of its history nonetheless, first as an independent program called Lo mejor de Telesur starting in 2005, then giving some hours of broadcasts to the news network since 2014). However, the network is still shown as CE2 on TV sets when tuning in.
