1993–1997 [ ] Canal de Noticias NBC was launched in March 15, 1993. It was the second 24 hours news network in Latin America after Televisa's ECO . Due economic struggles, the network shutdown 4 years later in 1997, being replaced by CNBC .
After the closure, NBC worked to launch a brand-new network for Latin America called NBC Supercanal , following the model of the European counterpart in late 1997. However, it's was cancelled for unknown reasons.[ 1]
