Cartoonito is the Romanian version of the television channel with the same name, owned by Warner Bros. Discovery.

Cartoonito was launched as Boomerang on November 7, 2009.

In 2010, some shows that were aired on Boomerang in Romania started to be localized and dubbed. On October 12, 2011, Boomerang was relaunched and became fully localized, with most of the shows being dubbed.

In January 2023, various TV spots started airing on Boomerang showing that it would be renamed to Cartoonito on March 18, 2023.
