Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited, branded as Cathay Dragon, is the regional division of Cathay Pacific Airways, the flag carrier of Hong Kong. Founded in 1985 as Dragonair, it adopted its current name in 2016, two years after its parent airline’s rebrand. It plays the same role as SilkAir does to Singapore Airlines, flying to destinations across eastern and South Asia.
Two years after the corporate rebrand of Cathay Pacific in 2014, Dragonair officially adopted the Cathay Dragon brand on 21 November 2016.
