In September 1994, Cathay Pacific launched a new identity created by Landor Associates. At the heart of this identity is the brushwing symbol, a white calligraphy stroke against a green background.

In October 2014, Cathay Pacific launched a refreshed identity and brand architecture designed by Eight Partnership. The new identity retained the brushwing symbol, and freed it from the box shape to create a more contemporary look. However, the new livery was only introduced in November 2015.

Subsidiary Dragonair rebranded as Cathay Dragon in 2016 with a similar logo and livery.
