- This article is about the Malaysian telecom company. For the Israeli mobile network operator, see Cellcom.
Celcom is the flagship subsidiary of the Malaysian telecommunications conglomerate Axiata Group. It is considered to be one of the big three telecom companies in Malaysia, along with Digi and Maxis. The three companies, together with the new entrant U Mobile, account for most of the telecom subscribers in the country. Celcom runs a discount/prepaid brand called Xpax, as well as several mobile network operators.
Originally owned by the state-owned Telekom Malaysia, Celcom was spun off in 2007, and acquired by what was to be the Axiata Group.
