On 19 October 2022, Channel 4 announced that they were launching a new 'digital-first' brand named Channel 4.0, which would appeal to 13–24 year olds. The logo for the new brand uses a 4 logo strikingly similar to the Channel 4 logo that was used from 1999 to 2004.
The brand launched online on 26 October 2022, exactly one week before Channel 4's 40th anniversary, which took place on 2 November 2022.
