Channel 7 was the first television station in Thailand to broadcast both in color and in the 625-line system. Until 1974, it had a monochrome simulcast on channel 9, until 1974, when the 525-line system turned off. The station chose the PAL system, being the first to adopt it in the region and continent as a whole.
