Channel V India was an Indian youth TV channel owned by Star that was launched in 1994 as a youth-targeted music channel before shifting its focus to youth dramas in the early 2010s, and back to music in 2016. It eventually shut down on 15 September 2018, and was replaced by Star Sports 3. Its traditional competitors have been MTV since the 1990s, and Bindass and Zing since the 2000s.

In July 2012, Channel V moved its focus entirely towards youth programming. On 25 November 2013, it adopted a new logo and graphics package with the slogan Correct Hai. Channel V moved its logo bug to the top left corner, which is comparatively uncommon in India (which uses bugs in the top right corner).

On 1 August 2016, Channel V went back to being a 24-hour pure-play music channel. Another new set of graphics was introduced, with Uni Sans as the on-screen typeface. In India, it was also used by the English movie channel &privé HD with its launch in 2017. Moreover, the logo bug moved back to the top right corner.

After 24 years on air, Channel V India finally closed down on 15 September 2018. Star Sports 3 was launched in its place.
