Charlotte Hornets 2014

The Charlotte Bobcats returned to the Hornets name in the 2014/15 NBA season after the New Orleans Hornets were renamed the Pelicans starting in the 2013/14 NBA season. As a result, the original Charlotte Hornets name, records, history from 1988 to 2002 were restored to the new Charlotte Hornets franchise, and they are now considered to have suspended operations in 2002/03–2003/04 seasons, continued as the Charlotte Bobcats, and renamed back to the Hornets in 2014.
