Chicken Fries were first introduced in 2005 as part of a menu expansion that was designed to cater to a more adult demographic looking for dishes that went beyond the standard fast food fare.
The product was discontinued in the United States in January 2012 for unknown reasons and replaced with Burger King's version of chicken strips in March of that year. These were also continued to be sold in some countries, such as Italy.
