China Eastern Airlines is a major airline headquartered in Shanghai, China, and one of the largest airlines in Asia. It is one of the big three Chinese airlines, along with Beijing-based Air China and Guangzhou-based China Southern Airlines.
China Eastern has been a member of the SkyTeam airline alliance since 2011, along with its subsidiary Shanghai Airlines, which switched from the rival Star Alliance and is an affiliate member of SkyTeam.

In 1994, China Eastern Airlines modified the logo with all-capitalize English name, which already used on its livery since 1988 debut.
2001-2014[]
In 2001, the "公司" from Chinese name and "Airlines" from English name were removed, same to China Southern Airlines' 1998 logo modification.

Like most airlines' logo modification since 2016, China Eastern replaced its shallow symbol with a all-flat look in early 2020, although the flat symbol already using on aircraft livery since 2014.
