China Southern Airlines (branded as China Southern) is a major airline in China, headquartered in Guangzhou, Guangdong. It has one of the three major airlines in the country, along with Air China and China Eastern Airlines.

The logo was debut in 1988, when airline under Civil Aviation Administration of China's all seven regional management division split into 7 airlines. However, the airline's name and livery were begins to use until 1991.

Begins 1994, a vertical stabilizer background was added behind the bombax ceiba symbol. Plus, the font for the airline's name also been changed.

Since mid-1998, China Southern dropped "公司" (Company in English) from its corporate promotion name, which China Eastern Airlines followed later. Also, the bombax ceiba symbol has also been updated, although the previous symbol still using on vertical stabilizer even today.

2001–present[]

China Southern introduced a more modern logo design following the company expanded its International networks with Boeing 777-200ER, the color palette from the cheatline of its aircraft livery now also used on all China Southern's promotion materials. China South was the member of SkyTeam alliance from 2007 to 2018.
