Fresh off of making conversions of David Braben's Amiga games to MS-DOS systems, Scottish developer Chris Sawyer decided to take inspiration from Sid Meier's Railroad Tycoon and expand upon it in an isometric landscape. This resulted in the creation of his first true project, Transport Tycoon, fully bearing his name.
1994–1999[]
This logo is only used in-game for both Transport Tycoon and Transport Tycoon Deluxe
1999–present[]
As Chris was planning a sequel to Transport Tycoon, he developed a keen interest in roller coasters, and given the toy-like nature of his next game, RollerCoaster Tycoon in contrast to the more model train show-like nature of the former, the logo was updated to reflect that. This logo is still in use as of RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic (2016).
