CineStars got into legal problems with Duplicato Media d.o.o., which owns a similarly-named line of channels in Croatia (CineStar TV Channels). Because of this, it was renamed to CineWow on November 26. It's likely another factor for this change was CineStar of Realitatea Media, which also broadcasted in Romania.
Despite the legal issues it went through, the CineStars name is still used on social media.
