In 2020, the merger of the PSA and FCA groups was announced, forming the Stellantis group, where Citroën and other brands will enter in 2021.

In mid-to-late June 2021 in an ad for their facelifted C3 Aircross, Citroën introduced an updated version of the 2016 logo with the chevrons now filled in. The logo has not yet been released on any other materials. This logo isn't officially used by Citroën, but has been used on advertising since 6 June, 2021.
