Zap TV Satelital[]
2003-2007[]
Zap TV Satelital was created by Jorge Claro Mimica, to help to promote the then-new channel CDF. From 2004 to 2006, Zap TV and Telefónica Chile were closely associated, albeit being unrelated companies each other.
Telmex TV[]
2007-2008[]
In 2007, Zap TV was acquired by Telmex, becoming Telmex TV.
2008-2010[]
Claro[]
2010-2024[]
On September 2021, América Móvil and Liberty Latin America announced a joint-venture, with Claro providing mobile and landline telephone services, while VTR will provide broadband and cable TV. This joint-venture will be its own separate entity, with both companies sharing 50% of the property [1]. The satellite TV service of Claro was not included in the agreement (VTR already had to divest its participation in the Chilean branch of DirecTV Latin America as part of its merge with Metrópolis in 2005) and was sold to TuVes HD on January 2024.
