On May 23, 2018, MTV Dance was rebranded as Club MTV.

This channel, along with MTV OMG and MTV Rocks, was closed on July 20, 2020, with a chart based on the channel's former content airing on MTV Base.

On April 14, 2025, Club MTV was relaunched in the UK, replacing the UK feed of MTV Hits. However, on December 31, 2025, Club MTV will be shut down along with four MTV music channels operating in the country, except for the main channel^[1]^[2].
