Experimental Penguins

July–December 2000

Experimental Penguins was the oldest known Club Penguin prototype. RocketSnail Games developed the game. It was released on July 30, 2000 and later closed in December.

Penguin Chat

2003–2005

On February 3, 2003 the game was released as Penguin Chat which included lots of new features than Experimental Penguins. The game was closed in October 2005.

Penguin Chat 3

March–October 2005

On March 31, 2005, Penguin Chat 3 was released and became the final version to create the virtual world. On October 28, the game was officially closed 4 days after Club Penguin was released. New Horizon Interactive Studios supported to RocketSnail Games in developing the new version of Penguin Chat 3.

Club Penguin

2005–2007

Club Penguin was released as a beta testing on August 22, 2005, but 2 hours later, it was shut down. Shortly after, the game was released officially on October 24.

2007–2008

On August 1, 2007, The Walt Disney Company bought Club Penguin. In December, the logo had minor changes; the byline which says "Part of the Walt Disney Company" was added underneath the logo so that the players realized what happened and a large line of color behind the logo was also removed.

2008–2012

In April 2008, the blue outline in the logo became a bit brighter. Also, the byline was summarized by the Disney logo, which has the same color as the outline.

2012–2017

On October 24, 2012, the logo was updated to a more "sleeker" look in honor of Club Penguin's 7th anniversary. The Disney logo's color scheme was transferred into a white-shadowed variation, and the words "Club" and "Penguin" have different textures. The game shut down on March 30, 2017 at 12:01am, making room for Club Penguin Island. However, that game closed on December 20, 2018, bringing to an end of the Club Penguin world.

WFDF was originally in the Flint radio market before moving to Farmington Hills in the Detroit radio market in 2006. As a result of the station's move to Detroit, WFRO in the Toledo market as well as another station in Northern Michigan (also on 900) were taken off the air to allow WFDF to increase its broadcast power.
Disney/ABC never owned the station, but operated it under a Local Marketing Agreement. Birach Broadcasting has since taken complete, outright control of the station.
These stations are either silent or completely off the air at this time.
WGVX also simulcasts on 105.3 and 105.7.
