Colmena was a savings and housing corporation of the Grupo Social and later bank that operated between 1972 and 2011, however, the Colmena brand continues to operate in four financial areas: insurance, capitalization, investment and trust.

The logo is maintained, but with the acronym "BCSC" (giving way to the merger of Banco Caja Social and Colmena, but both brands continued to operate separately). In 2011, Colmena disappeared as a bank when the merger with Banco Caja Social was completed, but it continued in the financial market as an insurer, capitalizer and fiduciary.
