Paramount Comedy launched in Russia on April 1st, 2012.

Back in mid-March, Paramount announced the suspension of activities in the Russian Federation due to Russian aggression against Ukraine^[1], but only on April 28, 2022, the company will stop broadcasting its channels in the country^[2]^[3].

On March 1, 2023, Paramount Comedy was rebranded as Comedy Central along with the Ukrainian version, dropping the Paramount name from the channel and retiring the Paramount Comedy name worldwide.
