Comedy Central (India)

Comedy Central was the most popular English entertainment channel in India. It was owned by Viacom18, along with sister channel Colors Infinity, which was launched in 2015. They competed with Star World, Zee Café and Disney International HD, as well as the erstwhile AXN until its shutdown in June 2020.

2012–2025[]

Comedy Central HD was launched on 1 July 2015 in India (nearly a month before Viacom18’s complementary English general entertainment channel Colors Infinity). Initially the logo was identical to the SD version, but the word HD was added in 2017.

Comedy Central, along with MTV Beats,Colors Odia and VH1, all shut down on March 15, 2025^[1].
