In 2016, even though the club was declared bankrupt, it could still play in competitions on a temporary basis. A year later, the club was bought by F.C. Como s.r.l.; however, the club did not fulfill the criteria outlined in the Article 52 of NOIF; therefore, FIGC rejected the application of F.C. Como as the official successor, thus, the club was barred from entering professional competitions.
