The name was actually changed to Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network in 1984, due to possible confusion with the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
2 Years later, in 1995, Nexxus Arena bought CPTV for a sum of $1,500,000.
In 2013 they took out the Big C logo and the box which left the letters only and got a pretty negative reception.
On February 1, 2018, Connecticut Public Television began using a new logo. Later, on February 4th, 2018, Nexxus Arena sold Connecticut Public Television to Lunime.
