1977–1987[]
The original logo for Cookie Crisp, used from 1977 until 1987. Note the nine-checker board. During this era, Cookie Crisp was owned by Ralston Purina, who spun off their cereal line to General Mills in 1997.
1987–1997[]
The Cookie Crook, Chip the Dog (which is slightly odd, for dogs can't have chocolate!) and Officer Crumb were the cereal's mascots at this time.
1997–2005[]
The Cookie Crook and Officer Crumb disappeared, leaving Chip the Dog as the cereal's sole mascot. The hyphen in between cookie and crisp also disappeared.
2002–2021 (UK)[]
2005–2012[]
The previous mascot, Chip the Dog, gave way to Chip the Wolf at this time.
2012–2019[]
In 2012, the Cookie Crisp box was given a redesign, to reflect Chip the Wolf's recent makeover. Appearing in TV commercials as far back as 2009, Chip's new design features a more angular snout and complete lack of clothing. Also, the updated Cookie Crisp logo is shown on a white bowl, which holds the titular cereal and a flowing stream of milk.
2019-present[]
BETTER LOGO NEEDED |
Around 2019, Cookie Crisp was given a cleaner box design. Chip the Wolf was redrawn in his previous pose, except with no shading and a thicker outline. Meanwhile, the box's background was changed from a blue and white gradient to a "sky blue" tint. In the top right corner, General Mills added a promise of no artificial colors or flavors in the Cookie Crisp recipe, along with a guarantee of no high fructose corn syrup.
