On March 21, 2023, the official Twitter profile for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive had its header updated to include this logo. The logo was revealed days following multiple trademark registrations by Valve for "CS2" and Counter-Strike. The following day, Counter-Strike 2 was announced, and on September 27, 2023, the logo was officially launched with the release of Counter-Strike 2.
