DC Comics 2012 (Black) (Blue)

The "DC Films" production division was announced by Warner Bros. Pictures during a TV special hosted by Kevin Smith to promote the then-upcoming rise of the DC Extended Universe movie franchise, called Dawn of the Justice League, broadcasted by The CW in January 19, 2016. Meanwhile, the studio used the 2012 DC Comics logo, until May.

In October 2022, it was announced that the studio would be rebranded as "DC Studios", with the rebranding being completed on November 1, 2022.[1]

2024–present[]

DC Studios (2024)

On July 26, 2024, the official logo was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con, paying homage to the 1977-2005 DC Comics logo designed by Milton Glaser.[2]
