1971–1987

DIC Logo 83

Although DIC Entertainment was founded in 1971, this logo wasn't found on television until 1983.

1983–1986

The original variant had dots and a character passing the logo and dots the "i".

1983–1987

This version of the logo (nicknamed The Vortex) was first used in 1983. For this logo's first year, it originally had no music at all and it was only used on early S1 episodes of "Inspector Gadget", but in 1984, its own music, which consists of an ascending 8-note synthesizing theme, was added to the logo. This was now seen on DIC programs which carry this logo, until 1987.

1987–2001

DIC Logo

This logo (nicknamed the Kid in Bed) was one of the best known DIC logos. The CGI effects were made at PDI. First, the logo started off with a kid sleeping in his bed with his dog on it. Then the camera zoomed in to a window and a star appeared. Finally, the text turned in a 90 degree angle and the kid said the company's name. Also, the star stopped spinning and recedes into a spherical dot for the I. Today, this logo is still known and very popular today, from any other DIC history. The font of this logo is a heavily-modified version of Gill Sans Ultra Bold.

1987–1990

1990–2001

In the 1990s, the starfield was changed, along with the dot which the glow effect was removed. A different kid said the company name as well.

1995-2008

DiC 2000

DIC adopted this logo in 1995, but used it only in print until 2001.

DIC Entertainment was acquired by the Cookie Jar Group in 2008, at which point the company halted production on all its shows and took the name "Cookie Jar Entertainment", under which it continues to exist on paper.
