Inter-Island Broadcasting Corporation was established in October 1959 when DZTV (channel 13) in Manila went its test broadcast.

On March 1, 1960 at 6:30pm, DZTV-TV 13 was finally launched, and it became as the third television station in the country. Its original location was at the corner of P. Guevarra St.
