2006–2016, 2019–2020[]
Damascus was incorporated as a city in 2004 by public vote, following concerns of encroachment by nearby cities. A logo for the city wasn't created until 2006.
In 2016, a public vote to disincorporate the city was passed, primarily due to discord in the city government. City assets were transferred to Clackamas County.
In 2019, the Oregon Court of Appeals nullified the 2016 disincorporation vote, allowing the city government back into existence for just over a year until the Oregon Supreme Court decided that the vote for disincorporation was valid in 2020.
