Alternate logo, also introduced in 2001. This logo would later be the primary logo in 2005, but with the gradients in the logo removed and the word "Detroit" added on top of the text "Pistons".

2017–present

This logo was leaked almost a year in advance on unreleased pieces of merchandise. On May 13, 2017, the logos had finished filing with the EU Intellectual Property Office, practically confirming them as the next logo for the team. On May 16, 2017, the Detroit Pistons officially unveiled this logo as their new primary; it is a modernized version of their 1978-96 logo.
