For New Year's Eve 1999–2000, ABC did not air New Year's Rockin' Eve as ABC’s New Year's Millennium Coverage was taken over by their day-long broadcast “ABC 2000”, which covered New Years Eve in every time zone. Dick Clark joined Peter Jennings as co-host for the Times Square celebration.
