Starting in 1975, Diet Pepsi used this logo with a font very similar to the one used in the 2008 Pepsi logo, with slight alteration to the e. In 1983 upon the switch from saccharin to NutraSweet, the light blue stripe as well as the Diet Pepsi text were recolored to royal blue.

In 1986, Diet Pepsi began using a segmented Pepsi logo, using a style similar to the AT&T logo at the time, and using the Handel Gothic typeface, which would hold until 2003.

When Pepsi started to rebrand, they used a different version of the logo to fit with the mood and flavor of the drink. For Diet Pepsi, it has a slight grin.

The grinning globe was later replaced with the regular smiling globe, although the grinning globe is still used on some machines.
