The Health Network
1999–2004
The Health Network was launched in 1999 with the merger of FitTV and America's Health Network.

Discovery Communications bought The Health Network from the Fox Cable Networks Group in September 2001. The FitTV name was reinstated in January 2004.
Discovery Fit & Health
2011–2015
Following the launch of the Oprah Winfrey Network, which replaced Discovery Health, much of the programs previously broadcast on Discovery Health were moved to FitTV.[1]
On January 17, 2011, Discovery Communications announced that on February 1, FitTV would be renamed Discovery Fit & Health, and would air programs from both Discovery Health and the former FitTV.
Discovery Life Channel
2015–2016
On July 8, 2014, Discovery Communications announced its intention to rebrand Discovery Fit & Health as Discovery Life Channel. The rebrand was made on January 15, 2015.
Discovery Life
2016–present
On August 26, 2016, the word "Channel" was dropped from the channel's name, making the channel simply known as Discovery Life. The typeface for the "Life" wordmark was slightly tweaked, with the "f" being a bit longer than the other letters. The dot above the "i" was also changed.
