Dishum (Hindi for punch), branded as Bhojpuri Dhamaka—Dishum (Bhojpuri Blast—Punch), is a general entertainment channel (GEC) in the Bhojpuri dialect of Hindi. It was launched on 15 August 2017 and competes with the GECs Big Ganga and Anjan, as well as movie channels such as Bhojpuri Cinema and Dabangg.
Unlike most other Bhojpuri channels (except Anjan), Dishum does not have any sister channels. Nevertheless, it has quickly become one of the most popular Bhojpuri TV channels.[1]
