After the debut of Disney Channel Canada (and Family Channel's removal of Disney's shows), Disney Junior debuted its Corus-themed channel in Canada - as well as a programming block on Disney Channel. The DHX-run Disney Junior channels were rebranded as Family Jr. (English) and Télémagino (French).

On September 1, 2024, as part of the 2024-25 television season, Disney Junior rebranded as "Disney Jr.", following the direct American feed rebranding in June of that year.

On July 10, 2025, Corus announced that it would stop distributing and close Disney Jr. alongside a selection of children's channels (Nickelodeon, Disney XD, La chaîne Disney and ABC Spark) at midnight on September 1 due to existing financial pressure at the company.^[1] Despite the closure, Corus confirmed that it would continue to air Disney content on its other channels.

Disney Channel brought Disney Jr. back as a programming block shortly after.

¹	WFDF was originally in the Flint radio market before moving to Farmington Hills in the Detroit radio market in 2006. As a result of the station's move to Detroit, WFRO in the Toledo market as well as another station in Northern Michigan (also on 900) were taken off the air to allow WFDF to increase its broadcast power.
²	Disney/ABC never owned the station, but operated it under a Local Marketing Agreement. Birach Broadcasting has since taken complete, outright control of the station.
