Starting in 2002, the name Playhouse Disney was first introduced; however, unlike its international counterparts, the Latin American logo was a mixture between the international logo and the American Playhouse Disney Channel logo. Moreover, the on-air promos used the look of the US network alongside the international IDs.

In October 5, 2020, Disney Junior rebranded and introduced this logo; however, it did not replace the flat one entirely.

On April 1, 2022, Disney Junior Brazil was replaced by a block on Disney Channel along with Disney XD, Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Kids, FXM and Star Life, which was replaced by Cinecanal. However, the channel is still up in the rest of Latin America.

As a result of the station's move to Detroit, WFRO in the Toledo market as well as another station in Northern Michigan (also on 900) were taken off the air to allow WFDF to increase its broadcast power.
