In Spring 2001, Playhouse Disney rebranded as Playhouse Disney Channel and got a new look. It was designed by Beehive which was phased out in 2003. Even though the Mickey TV set version of this logo was phased out in 2002, the version without the Mickey TV set continued to be used until 2011.

On February 14, 2011, Disney Channel replaced Playhouse Disney with a new children's programming block under the name of Disney Junior, bringing to an end of the "Playhouse" era after 12 years of its existence. The wordmark is set in Futura Extra Bold (Notice that the word "J" has a cut curve). It would later be transferred into a TV channel on March 23, 2012.
