At the beginning of January 2022, Disney announced the closure of Disney XD in Latin America on March 31, in addition to the shutdown of other linear television channels that it owns in the region such as Star Life, Nat Geo Wild, FXM, Nat Geo Kids and the Brazilian version of Disney Junior. The change comes as a consequence of the conglomerate focusing more on its Disney+ and Star+ platforms.
