This logo was first seen in ads for the Montgomery Ward location's grand opening in October 1965, but the mall didn't fully open until November 10, 1966. As "Dixie Square", it was both referred to with "Shopping Center" and "Mall" after its name.

Before a new logo was designed after this rebrand, a provisional logo, using parts of the 1965 lettering to spell "MALL", was used from July to November 1975.
1975-1978[]
Dixie Square officially debuted its new name in November 1975 alongside a major remodel, but it would soon close in November 1978 due to significant losses and high crime rates. It was infamously left abandoned until it was demolished in 2012.
