Dolby Audio.svg

Since 2015, all of Dolby's legacy audio technologies (those launched before Dolby Atmos and Dolby Voice) are marketed under the Dolby Audio brand, with the technology name used on a secondary basis[1].

In movie theaters, this serves to indicate that the auditorium has sound equipment Dolby Digital or Dolby Surround 7.1, And some movies at the end of the credits stop putting the logo Dolby Digital replacing it with the Dolby Audio logo.

In home theater, Dolby Audio refers to the audio track of type Dolby Digital, Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus.

It can be seen on the back of DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K covers. However, home release titles to Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment and 20th Century Studios Home Entertainment (with the exception of the home releases from Breakthrough in 2019 to Underwater in 2020) still use the standard Dolby Digital logo.
