Doritos stopped being produced in Indonesia in August 2021, due to PepsiCo's shares of Indofood Fritolay Makmur being sold to Indofood, thus ending their partnership. They have been rebranded to Maxicorn.[1] In 2025, Doritos, along with Cheetos and Lay's has returned to Indonesia following the operation of the PepsiCo's factory in Cikarang.

In a campaign to draw in younger customers, Doritos' social media accounts and advertising swore off mentioning the name or showing the logo. It was replaced with a "Logo Goes Here" logo replacing the Doritos name.
