Hutchison Drei Austria is a telecommunications company in Austria that uses the Drei brand (German for Three). It is the Austrian subsidiary of the Hong Kong–based CK Hutchison Holdings group. Drei (or 3) competes with A1, the incumbent telecom operator, and Magenta Telekom (formerly T-Mobile).
Drei acquired a larger competitor, Orange (formerly known as ONE), in 2012. It also acquired the Austrian operations of the Swedish-owned Tele2 in 2017 (which offered only fixed-line telephony and broadband services, unlike Orange, which was a mobile operator). Both the Orange and Tele2 brand names were retired in favour of Drei in 2013 and 2018, respectively.
