Edy's Grand Ice Cream
Dreyer's was founded by William Dreyer and Joseph Edy as Edy's Grand Ice Cream in 1928.
In 1947, Dreyer and Edy dissolved their partnership and Dreyer founded his own company. After the dissolution of the partnership, Edy continued business under the Edy's name.
