1987–1990[]
This variant uses a more traditional top-down red to yellow gradient similar to the famous logo of Indiana Jones, which partially inspired this series (and which Disney acquired through their purchase of Lucasfilm in 2012). This one remained on some merchandise after 1990, most notably the 2013 video game.

DuckTales premiered on September 18, 1987. The last episode of DuckTales aired on November 28, 1990.
