Duracell is the American manufacturer of high performance alkaline batteries, specialty cells, rechargeables and smart power systems. It is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway (under Warren Buffett) and the brand started in 1924 with the creation of PR Mallory & Company, founded by two scientists, Samuel Ruben and Philip Mallory.
