Dynabook Inc. is a Japanese personal computer manufacturer owned by Sharp Corporation. It was formerly owned and branded as Toshiba from 1985 to 2018. In 1985, Toshiba released the Toshiba T1100, one of an early IBM PC-compatible laptops and it was claimed by Toshiba as "the world's first mass-market laptop computer". The Dynabook brand was first used on Japan-only Toshiba DynaBook J-3100SS laptop. Since then, that brand was only used in Japan until it is fully adopted as a global brand in 2019.

In 2016, Toshiba stopped making consumer PC products to focus on business laptops except in Japan, China and Taiwan, where these are now branded as simply Dynabook instead.

After it started to use the Dynabook name outside Japan in 2019, the Toshiba brand and logo will co-exist together as part of its transition until it is fully dropped in late 2019/early 2020.
