e.tv is a free-to-air television channel in South Africa, and the first and only privately-owned free-to-air channel in the country. It is the flagship property of eMedia Holdings, a South African mass media company. A sister channel, eNews Channel, was launched in 2008 and renamed to eNCA in 2012.

e.tv competes mainly with SABC, the state-owned public broadcaster, and MultiChoice, a private company that runs the M-Net network of pay-TV channels and the DStv satellite platform.

e.tv launched a new graphics package and corporate identity on 1 January 2013 and rounded the corners of the square in its logo.

2013–2019[]

With the 2013 rebrand, a new slogan was introduced: Free your imagination. The FS Albert font was introduced as the on-screen typeface, and remained in use for the logos of many channels and properties of eMedia Holdings until 2019, when it was replaced by Montserrat.

Another on-air graphics refresh was introduced on 1 April 2019. The popular Montserrat font was introduced as the on-screen typeface, and also replaced FS Albert in the logos of other channels of eMedia Holdings, such as eExtra and eMovies.
