e.tv is a free-to-air television channel in South Africa, and the first and only privately-owned free-to-air channel in the country. It is the flagship property of eMedia Holdings, a South African mass media company. A sister channel, eNews Channel, was launched in 2008 and renamed to eNCA in 2012.
e.tv competes mainly with SABC, the state-owned public broadcaster, and MultiChoice, a private company that runs the M-Net network of pay-TV channels and the DStv satellite platform.
